We wanted to share an exciting update regarding our 16U coaching staff.
Coach Joe Sabbag has accepted a coaching position with Florida Atlantic University’s college hockey program. While we are sad to see him leave the Tampa Bay Hockey Club, we are incredibly proud of him and this well-deserved opportunity to coach at the collegiate level. We thank Coach Joe for his dedication, leadership, and the positive impact he has made on our players both on and off the ice.
We are pleased to announce that Coach Pete Spencer will be stepping in as the new Head Coach of the 16U team. Coach Pete will be dedicated, and we are confident he will continue to build on the strong foundation established this season.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Peter has been involved in hockey since the age of four and brings a lifelong passion for the game to the bench. A Level 4 USA Hockey coach, Peter brings more than 10 years of youth coaching experience, working with players from the recreational level through 16U AA.
Over the past several seasons, Peter has served as an assistant coach with the Girls Crunch 14U AA and 16U AA programs, and last season also helped lead the TBHC 14U A White team to a State Championship as an assistant coach. Dedicated to player development both on and off the ice, Peter looks forward to helping athletes grow as hockey players, individuals, and leaders.
